Letter from CPEberly to Mr. & Mrs NLEberly, May1941

These are the last two pages of a letter from Tommy to his parents.  What appears to be the first three pages are lost.  The letter is noteworthy because it marks the point in early May where he finds a room at the YMCA shortly after arriving in LA.

I had no trouble locating Weyant's brother's home, but I didn't succeed in seeing him or any of his family.  They have a nice home & I sure the lady of the house saw me coming up the walk, but I did not succeed in getting an answer to my knocks.  It made me mad, after spending 3 hours & $0.70 cents.  I did not see them merely because they refused to answer the door.  The Electric Rattle trap that takes you to San Pedro goes thru Large oil fields and they sure do smell.  Well, So long, Tommy
